|
Autologous Whole Blood is obtained from the patient in the preoperative period and processed immediately utilizing an enhanced plasma sequestration system rendering a highly concentrated platelet product, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for perioperative use. This PRP can be mixed with autograft/allograft bone prior to application to the surgical site deemed necessary by the clinical use requirements. The entire process takes less than fifteen minutes and increases the concentration of platelets.
The American Red Cross uses state of the art equipment for the collection of Platelet Rich Plasma in addition to a dedicated Clinical Services Staff member for all procedures.
We are available for scheduled as well as non scheduled cases as needed.
