The American Rare Donor Program (ARDP) is a program coordinated by the American Red Cross in association with the American Association of Blood Banks. ARDP has the world’s largest listing of rare blood donors, over 45,000, and is available to facilities throughout the world via the World Health Organization’s Rare Donor program. Staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to receive orders for rare blood and perform searches on the database for rare blood requests.
